For what it is it works perfectly lot better SWR for UHF ham band at least it’s not off the scale like stock ones very broad banded have to get a vna analyzer to see where it’s resonate to see if it can be tuned better. It does really foot on a hotspot covers the whole house including the acre lot.I have had scanner before, so I would usually by an extra antenna. This was recommended so I added to my purchase. Turns out it does not have a bnc type connector. I tried to ask for a return with no help. I still have the item.On the TYT MD-380, this antenna performs better than the stock antenna, but not as good as the upgraded 15-inch rubber duck. The base of this antenna will be perfectly flush (no spacers req'd) on your MD-380. Excellent.Mates up nicely to the TYY MD-380. About a full quarter-wave long at 450 MHz. Informally measured about 2dB gain improvement over the stock shorty rubber duck.Perfect fit for a TYT MD-380. Works great!!!Exactly the same as the stock antenna.
