I originally wanted the 45 watt radio but found out it wasn't water proof rated where this one was, I didn't think it would be what I wanted but after installing in my utv unprotected from dust and rain. It works great, even without an external speaker, clear as day. Nice radioI completely swamped mine the first time out three months later works like a charm still
