I have no idea what radio this is for... I bought this with the intention of mounting it over the single din aftermarket radio in my camper I didn’t really care about it being waterproof this was to keep my two year old daughter from pressing buttons on the radio as the radio is mounted very low from the factory in my camper. I have something similar to this on my motorcycle so I thought it would work well. 1 the United its self is unnecessarily large. 2 I assumed that the space between the two inside tabs would be large enough to fit a standard single din radio or at the least be real easily removable that was wrong. I have now seen in the reviews that a few people have cut these away in order to make them work with their radio however the tabs are a hard plastic material and would require some thing like a Dremel tool to cut them out. I really don’t want to have to cut something I just spent $20 on. It is absolutely insane to me that this would not fit a standard radio most single din radios are roughly the same size as they’re meant to go into a fairly universal with space. Why would this not be built to accommodate that. The product itself seems like it’s an OK quality if it will actually work for you again I have no idea what radio this would be designed for the picture on the box shows a regular full-size looking radio taking up the entire space of the inter-ring. The product itself comes with no instructions so I’m not sure if there’s some sort of trick to this that I’m not seeing I have literally no idea how you’re supposed to get a radio and pass those tabs as stated it looks like it should work somehow according to the picture on the box but I don’t know how.installed in my fishing boat -easy- seems goodI bought this with a marine stereo system. Like other reviews I do see the plastic hinges it has. Which yes, it may break if you abuse it. Take care of it & I don't see it happening. I gave 4 stars for now because the housing looks good and seems to be built good minus the plastic hinges. Maybe Boss will change up and fix that issue. It did take some faness to get it to fit but it went in and works supreme. I have it hooked up to my phone and can listen to anything i want. I can also make calls thru the radio. The face of the radio does remove it is rather tight so becareful. The radio really is very good.I bought this for my off-road vehicle radio. It seals well and keeps out the dirt and water like it should.Good I just had to cut out some of the middle because the radio didn't fit through the plasticBeen using this in the dash of my 1979 J-Craft Ski boat with no wondshield and it has protected the stereo well and looks great. Only feature I would think would make it better are steel hinges rather than the plastic ones it has now.Looks great. Mounted with no issues at all.
