I bought this for my son who wears glasses. The projection of the time on the ceiling made it possible for him to know the time when he wakes up and hasn't put on his glasses yet. The alarm is loud enough to wake a kid from a comma. The adjustable brightness is a huge plus. The reception on the radio is surprisingly good. The automatic scan feature when you turn the radio on is very kid friendly.
