These are very solid walkie-talkies, the battery life is phenomenal, they look great, feel great.I just wish that the range was better. I thought with the wattage output I would have a longer range, including direct line of sight. It would also be nice to be able to turn off the voice completely, because every time I turn the radio on it says “ turn on the radio“ in a peculiar text to speech voice. Though in the end, I would have purchased them again for the amount of fun that we had with them camping.I have been looking for a 5 watt radio solution for business and personal use for a few years now.The radios are constructed very well and durable. They were very easy to assemble and fully charged mush faster than I anticipated.I have only tested the radios up to about a mile so far and the performance was unlike any radio I have found available for civilian use.It is important to follow the charging and discharging instructions as doing so will greatly improve the performance and life of the battery. The only thing negative I can really say is draining the battery is taking much longer than I expected, which really a good thing. If you are fortunate to grab these pair with prime deal and discount of thirty percent reduction resulting under one hundred or fifty dollars per radio for this type of heavy duty and reliable radio is the best price I have ever seen.Similar Law enforcement radios start in the 500-600 dollar range for a basic radio.I bought a set of these radios and it works pretty good!I am using this radio to communicate with people in a 5th floor building and no problem so far.It is a very good quality radio and easy to use with a reasonable price.Overall a ok radio. Reaches far. But breaks down easilyGreat to have lithium battery, Strong signals, easy to use.Only bad thing is they will NOT work with my older "Cobra"brand walkie talkies - on any of the Channels 1-22.So these new units may not work on Motorola or Midlandbrands either.Advertised 100 mile range. Must be line of site but they were very clear 5 miles part.Long range, no complaints!I bought 3 sets package and radio works pretty good compare to other FRS 2W radio, however it is very unfortunate that the volume knob sits on top is very loose and it can easily turn high or low when carrying on a belt holster or in a bag, etc. Other professional radio manufactures make it very tight to avoid unintentional turning or like Retevis created a paddle style volume key that is very effective. Also this radio has no way to make a VOX feature work regardless setting.
