I LOVE these. I purchased them to block the incessant barking of my neighbor's large dogs, only 10 feet from my house and BBQ deck. Also, I use a lot of power tools, including an in-home woodshop, and I do all my own yard work with mowers, chippers, etc. The DRR rating is as high as they come. What I love most is the on-off/volume nob. A nob works SO much better than a menu screen or super sensitive touch controls. To connect to my phone, I just turn on the nob. It Bluetooth connects automatically. The neighbor's dogs bark at night too, just under my bedroom window. So I now wear them to bed. They are comfortable enough to sleep in, even with my CPAP mask on at the same time. They are sturdy, so I know I won't break them if I roll onto my side. Sound deadening works better than noise cancelling. These over the earmuffs block those dogs out so well that if I wear them onto the deck, 10 feet from the dogs (multiple large dogs), and if I have the music turned on low, I can't tell if those dogs are barking or not. These things really block out the sound. Absolutely amazing!Sound quality is good. Albeit not as good as my expensive noise cancelling, high tech, stereo headphones, but very good for industrial, sturdy, inexpensive hearing protection. That volume nob is the best though. When I'm sleeping, and I wake up to the music being too loud or too soft, I don't have to find my glasses, find my cell phone, wake my cell phone up, put in the password, find the volume screen to swipe...all I have to do is grab that beautiful volume nob and turn it one way or the other. AHH, the beauty of simplicity. I can even turn the headphones on or off my just turning this nob.
